Oexa makes Light’s PSE recording free for community pharmacy
Light’s S3 Supply Recording will be free for community pharmacy to use as a standalone tool for pseudoephedrine (PSE) recording – with no subscription fee, and no requirement to sign up to the broader Light clinical platform in order to use it.
Brisbane, Australia – 11 September 2026 – Oexa today announced that Light’s pseudoephedrine (PSE) recording functionality will be free for community pharmacy to use as a standalone tool – with no subscription fee and no requirement to sign up to the broader Light clinical platform in order to use it.
The feature, S3 Supply Recording, captures the details of a supply at the point of sale and keeps the record against the pharmacy.
The tool is available free of charge to pharmacies in jurisdictions where alternative recording platforms are permitted. Recording obligations differ between states and territories, and pharmacies should confirm the requirements that apply to them.
John Le, Head of Growth at Light, says: “Our view is that pharmacists should have greater choice in the technology they use to meet their professional and regulatory requirements, and that essential recording functionality shouldn’t necessarily come with an ongoing subscription or transaction cost.”
The tool also supports a broad range of products beyond those containing pseudoephedrine, including other products that pharmacies may need or choose to record, such as dihydrocodeine-containing products.
Making the tool available on its own extends Oexa’s approach of building for choice – giving pharmacies the option to adopt individual pieces of Light without committing to the full platform, and to connect the rest as their clinical services grow.
