Oexa achieves ETP1 certification through eRX Script Exchange
Brisbane, Australia – 8 July 2026 – Following its recent Healthcare Identifiers (HI) Service conformance with the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA), Oexa today announced its next milestone towards prescribing: Light has achieved ETP1 certification through eRX Script Exchange. ETP (Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions) certification enables prescriptions created in Light to move securely through Australia’s electronic prescription exchange infrastructure. ETP1 is the first milestone towards electronic prescribing, securely transferring prescription data alongside the patient’s paper prescription. Future milestones include ETP2 certification, enabling fully paperless electronic prescriptions (eScripts) delivered to patients as digital tokens, followed by prescribing conformance with the ADHA. Together, these milestones will bring prescribing into Light’s connected clinical platform, allowing pharmacists to manage clinical services and prescribing in one place as their scope of practice continues to expand. Mina Giang, Co-founder and Head of Product and Experience at Oexa, says: “HI conformance gave us verified patient identity. ETP1 certification through eRX is the next milestone towards our final prescribing solution. There’s more conformance to come, but this is the groundwork that lets Light bring prescribing into one connected platform – supporting pharmacists as their clinical services grow.” This milestone adds to Oexa’s growing footprint across Australia’s ePrescribing ecosystem. Managed Intermediary provides secure integration with national prescription services, Scripty gives patients a free consumer eScript wallet, and with ETP1 certification, and prescribing is now taking shape in Light – extending Oexa’s work across more of the ePrescribing landscape.
